Fan noise for sleep
The low, steady hum of an ordinary house fan, recorded for real. All the sound of a bedroom fan, with no cold draft.

Sound: Traditional House Fan Amb by CHallSmith on Freesound (CC0). Trimmed to a 1-minute loop and level-matched.
What you’re hearing
A typical household fan sitting in a window, running at one constant speed. You get a low motor hum and a soft rush of air, and nothing else.
The recording is just under a minute long, so the loop repeats about once a minute, with a crossfade where the end meets the start. If you’re used to sleeping with a fan on, you may miss the sound when it’s too cold to run one or when you’re travelling. Keep it low, around the level a real fan would be across the room.
Set the timer if you only want it while you fall asleep. It fades out gently when time is up.

Good to know
Is it free?
Yes. No account, no sign-up, no ads in the player. The file plays from this site, so nothing hands you off to YouTube.
Does it really loop all night?
It loops a 1-minute recording with a soft crossfade where the end meets the start, so it keeps going until you pause it or the timer runs out. Your browser and device have to stay awake and the tab has to stay open.
Why not just use pink or brown noise?
A fan has more texture than plain noise: a motor hum underneath and a soft movement of air on top. Some people find that more natural. If you prefer something flatter, try pink noise or brown noise.
