Sound: Heavy rain on a large plastic roof by kyles on Freesound (CC0). Trimmed to a 4½-minute loop and level-matched.
What you’re hearing
This is a real recording of constant rain falling on a large plastic roof, with big drops and an even, full patter. There’s no thunder and no music, just the rain.
Rain like this is mostly a steady texture. It can cover small sounds in a room, such as a ticking clock or a neighbor’s TV, without drawing attention to itself. Set it a little louder than the noise you want to cover and no louder than that.
Use the timer if you don’t want it running all night: 30 minutes, an hour or 90 minutes, and it fades out on its own.

Good to know
Is it free?
Yes. No account, no sign-up, no ads in the player. The file plays from this site, so nothing hands you off to YouTube.
Does it really loop all night?
It loops a 4½-minute recording with a soft crossfade where the end meets the start, so it keeps going until you pause it or the timer runs out. Your browser and device have to stay awake and the tab has to stay open.
Will it work with the screen off?
On most phones the sound keeps playing when the screen locks, as long as the browser tab stays open. Some phones pause web audio to save battery; if yours does, keep the screen on at low brightness.
